  1. I did not see any mention of creating additional btrfs raid arrays in the attached FAQ. I did see that the cache array can be set up any which way, e.g. raid0, 1, 10, 5/6, but not that I could create a stand alone raid10 array. Let me know if I misinterpreted the information. Thanks!
  2. I think it would be a great if unRaid allowed for additional btrfs raid arrays besides the raid1 cache array. For example, I would really appreciate being able to have my media on a traditional unRaid setup and have a btrfs raid10 set up for VM storage... I don't believe it is possible to set up extra btrfs raid arrays currently.
  3. I think this would be a great addition!
  4. Aw, I figured it out! I stopped the array, clicked on each disk, change the disk to xfs for the filesystem, and then restarted the array. Then I clicked on the format option, and BAM... formatting began. As a note to others (if anyone else has similar problems), you must change the filesystem under drive options (accessible by click on the drive) and change the preferred filesystem. Prior to changing the filesystem by clicking on each disk, it always showed as ext4 and would not format, however it is now formatting.
  5. I have ran into an issue. For a short period of time, I used ubuntu and snapraid, and therefore all my disk were converted to ext4. However, I recently decided to move back to unRaid, but I cannot get my disk to show up in the GUI as formatted. All four disk in my array show a status of unformatted. When I click on the Format option below the disk list (under array status), nothing happens. Can I get some guidance please? I was going to format them to xfs via the terminal, but in one of the tutorials, it warns against doing such outside of the gui with linux commands. Thanks!
  6. I am currently attempting to set up unRaid on my Supermicro quad core SoC atom mobo. However the i354 NIC is not supported. The board is part of new Rangeley / Avoton atoms. Here is the link to the board: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/atom/x10/a1sri-2558f.cfm. I have already messaged LimeTech to see about adding the driver to the board in the next update but wanted to know if others have had any luck with alternative measures. I do not have a free PCIe slot so I am unable to add an Intel NIC card there. I am curious if anyone has successfully used a USB to Ethernet adapter? I would be looking for a USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter. Thanks! Caleb
  7. Is there an update to this? I recently purchased a supermicro rangeley 4 core atom motherboard. At the moment, it does not work with unRaid, however in the future I would love to see it become compatible. Is there anything I can do to streamline it for the time being? Thanks!
  8. This is a great guide. I used it last night as I transitioned from ESXi to ProxMox. Thanks for putting it together. As an additional comment, I had an error with the m1015 which prevented it from booting, so I had to change some settings in the config file. The changed settings are as stated: machine: q35 hostpci0: xx:xx.0,driver=vfio,pcie=1,rombar=off Per the ProxMox forum, this issue only occurs when using firmware 15, and does not occur when using firmware 17, however I have no knowledge of this as I did not flash mine to the newest firmware.
  9. Can you please give us instructions on how to do this? I see that you have done it, but I don't are any instructions on how to start, pursue this myself.
  10. Thank you for this amazing guide! If you could please keep us updated with what version you are running? Who has moved up to 5.5? And if you have, why? Did anyone purchase the vCenter package?
