1. Here they are I think. Thanks mytower-diagnostics-20190930-0334.zip
2. Hi all, I posted in the Radarr forum also but i'm running Unraild 6.7.2 and have 3 linuxserver.io containers all setup and running for months (Radarr, Sonarr and Sab). I went to update all the containers to the latest today and none of them seem to start now. I pulled up the logs and it seems they can't write / have permissions to /config directory (see attached log). My /config is /mnt/user/appdata/sonarr. Not sure why I'm having permissions issues now but would appreciate any help. Thanks! Sonarr-cant-write-config.rtf
3. Hi all, I'm on unraid 6.7.2 and have been running 3 Linuxserver.io containers together successfully for months (Sab, Radarr and Sonarr). I went about updating them to the latest today and after the update none of the containers are running. They all report errors with accessing /config. I've attached the log file for Radarr. I can't for the life of me figure out why /config all of sudden is not writeable as I haven't done anything on the server lately. All my /config directories including for Radarr follow /mnt/user/appdata/radar (/mnt/user/appdata/sonarr & /mnt/user/appdata/sabnzbd). No slashes at the end Thanks Radarr-cant-write-config.rtf
4. How do you tell if it is a fake or doesn't work as advertised? I mean if you did buy one. How would one tell?
5. Hi I've tried to understand the linking of paths between containers and I think I have setup the config correctly but I still get the same problem when renaming and moving a file: Downloaded MovieImportService: Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Radarr: /config/Downloads/complete/<Movie Name> I realize /config is different for each container (which is my problem) so can someone please help point me how to change that so Radarr (and Sonarr same problem) can find the download and move it.
6. Hi I've come back to Unraid after a long time and I'm looking to run more drives and spend money on hardware i.e. newer, shinier, bigger I have and ASROCK H77 Pro MVP4 mobo with an i3 3220. I am looking at getting a SAS controller card because I have run out of SATA ports on my mobo. I hear the AOC SAS2LP cards hare hit and miss. I found this card on ebay and am wondering if it is a good card with minimal setup needed (as plug and play as possible). https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-SAS-9207-8i-PCI-E-3-0-Adapter-LSI00301-IT-Mode-Card-US-SameDayShip/292749085955?epid=27026538211&hash=item4429348d03:g:460AAOSwSc1bpWpx:rk:3:pf:0 I have space for 2 more Norco 500 bays and one card would be enough to run them ( i have 2 drives currently in use that would go into the drive bays). Thanks in advance!
7. Hi, I just need a refresher in using the preclear script again. The last time I ran it was 2013 and on an old rc 5.x version of Unraid so it has been awhile. I have Unraid 5.0.5 and I have the 1.15 version of preclear script. I have a drive that is an old one with 512 byte sectors. Does this process sound right? Stop the array Powerdown the server Add drive Leave the new drive unassigned to the array Start the array Login via telnet and run ./preclear_disk.sh -a -c 3 -r 65536 -w 65536 -b 200 /dev/sdx Then add the disk to the array assuming everything went fine with the preclear. I'm not using Unmenu and I'm doing everything the old fashioned way which is fine as I will upgrade everything with Unraid 6.0 release. Thanks!
8. Assuming you are running Windows 7/8 just right click and run as Administrator. It will open the cmd prompt and run the script. I also found a syslinux.exe and menu.c32 in my root drive (the 5.0.5 image has it in syslinux). I'm assuming it is safe to delete these 2 files as well?
9. Yes, you should be able to just copy the syslinux folder from the install directory to your USB drive, and you can delete the syslinux.cfg file in the root. You will want the new one anyways as it gives you the option for a safe boot. You can also copy everything from the root of the install folder to your USB. It will not overwrite any of your config files. Just be careful not to copy the config folder over as that will reset your disks, shares, networking and users. So, to summarize: Install media has: / (root folder) /syslinux /config Highlight everything and deselect config and copy to your USB stick. Then I'd re-run make_bootable to be safe, and you should hopefully be good. Thanks for the info bkastner. Just a quick question. When you say rerun make_bootable should this be at the cmd prompt or will double click in Windows Explorer work just as well?
10. Post a syslog. You will probably have to hook up an monitor to the server and see if the server completes the boot process before you can do this. You should get a login prompt when/if it does. If unRAID boots, you can get a syslog by following the instructions for 'console session' in the first post in this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=9880.0 If it fails to boot and you can't figure out the problem, post a photo of the monitor screen. Seems my upgrade is to blame. I lugged the server over to the TV and looked at the bootup sequence. I keep getting a loop on the screen of Could not find kernel image: /syslinux/menu.c32 root: (or boot:) The screen is not displayed properly I remember when I followed the upgrade instructions noticing I did not have a syslinux directory on my flash drive but the 5.0.5 image had a directory. Question is can I just copy this over to my flash drive> What about the syslinux.cfg file? It is in my root directory so should I delete that one as in 5.0.5 it exists in the syslinux directory. Thanks PS if this is not the right place for this question (as I am doing an upgrade to a 5.x stream please let me know where to post this.
11. Hi, I'm upgrading from 5.0rc12a to 5.0.5. I am running into a problem where my Unraid server is unresponsive over WebGui and Telnet. I've looked on my router and I don't see an IP address assigned to it but I'm not sure how to tackle the problem. I've changed ethernet cables and made sure they are seated properly. On my first boot I saw activity on flash, cache and disk drives (my parity is not hooked up via a HDD cage) but I could not access my webgui or telnet after 15 mins or so. I rebooted a few times and then started looking at my server's IP address. After that I need some help? Upgrade process I followed Stopped all plugins (Sab, SIckB, Transmission, ITunesServer) Made sure parity was good and configuration valid. Backed up flash drive and then followed instructions here http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_Instructions I did not run the make_bootable.bat file as I was unsure if I needed it. I'm thinking my flash drive is not bootable so that is why nothing is up and running. Is that a good guess? Can I just plug my flash into my PC and double-click the make_bootable.bat file and retry? Thanks.
12. I think my problem has been solved. Increasing the DRAM voltage to 1.4V (as per GSkill Tech Support suggestion) and adjusting one of the timing parameters has made my RAM (GSkill Sniper Low Voltage series) stable. I ran memtest for 19hrs without any errors and last night I did not see an unclean shutdown. I was seeing them every night before. Thanks to all the forum members who helped out!
13. Almost certain it is the voltage. clock speed. or timing set by your BIOS for your RAM and the RAM itself is fine. Most BIOS will set the parameters correctly, but some will not. Certainly you may not just randomly populate ram sockets. If only populating some, they must be in pairs and in certain sockets. In any case, the parameters must be set for your specific make/model RAM strips. You may have to set them manually for your specific RAM. Hi Joe, Not to worry I have been mindful of populating the RAM in the right sockets for all my testing I think I might be one of the few who reads an actual BIOS manual. Hi garycase, I looked over my BIOS settings and it was actually setting the DRAM voltage to 1.25V. The RAM I'm using is on the Asrock's approved memory list. The funny thing is that the Technical support at GSkill actually suggested increasing the RAM voltage to 1.4 or 1.45 V as they stated the RAM might be more stable. Kind of contradicts the advice you gave me but I decided to try it before I saw your response. They also suggesting loading the XMP defaults but I believe my BIOS has the XMP settings set to automatically load. The test has been running for 1.5hrs with a higher voltage so I'll continue to monitor it. I'll try forcing the XMP settings as well if this test does not work. Valens
14. After doing a whole bunch of testing I'm thinking it is my mother board but like a second opinion I tested both RAM sticks individually in slot 1 (my mobo has four slots) with Memtest and they ran for 8+ and 10+ hours without any errors. I put both sticks into the motherboard and ran the tests overnight and the system rebooted it self by morning. I put both sticks into the other 2 slots and ran the tests and that test run did not also last very long before it rebooted. What do people think the problem could be? The RAM sticks work individually but not when installed at the same time. That leads me to think it is the motherboard but there were no problems with just one stick installed. THe customer support for the RAM suggested I try and setup the RAM (which is low voltage - 1.25) to run at a higher voltage like 1.4 or 1.45. Thanks, Valens
