I am looking for a web based file manager. When I copy a file from X to Y (both unraid shares) it takes a very long time when I am remote of vpn in. I don't need the file transfer to round trip to my workstation. Something like the mc midnight commander but web based left/right panes would be excellent. When copying a file left to right it would all occur directly on the unraid server.

thanks

+1 for a Web-Based file manager.

It would be great to move files into a BTSync folder for example.

I did a quick look around and the ones I found were:

Pydio

Website: http://pyd.io

Already existing Docker, would need to be adapted to our needs I reckon: https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/kdelfour/pydio-docker/

Mollify:

Website: http://www.mollify.org/

Docker: None Exists

xbox app ***Unusual name but looks very promising, (look at Screenshot folder in Github) Also active development***

Website: https://github.com/mc007/xbox-app

Would love if someone would take a crack at this project.

screen + mc  I would say

Defo an option, but maybe a dockerised MC with SSH to allow remote access and protect the host server from external attacks. Is that what you mean? Also to above might be move visually apealing to users.

i have a docker of sorts for this UMS thing, but seeing as it and user friendliness are very distant cousins it's damn near impossible to tell if it's doing what it is supposed to do.

it basically seems to be software from the land that time forgot.

it's in my private repo.

https://github.com/sparklyballs/private-repo/tree/templates/Sparkly-Private

i've opened all the ports the "wiki" said to and it shows up as a upnp source on my kodi instance,

the folders are thus,

/root/.config/UMS

for config files

and

/opt/ums

  for the program files

i haven't copied over any of the config files from the program files in the default install as is, you'll have to play with that yourself cos frankly i think this software is a pig.

Zoneminder

And. . .

A docker that does cleaning around the house (bathrooms especially). In fact, I'll start a bounty and will pledge $5,000

Can't help you with Zoneminder, but forward the $5,000 (in equivalent £s by todays exchange rate) and your address and I'll package up Mrs CHBMB and get her in the post tomorrow. :P;D
