  2. Work and life have gotten in the way and I just dont use my server much any more. Hopping a newbie can make use of it. Details in signature line. I removed the drives but am throwing in 4 x 500 Gb Seagate drives to get you started. You will need a usb drive for the OS of your choice. I have run FreeNAS as well as unRaid on this box and it works just fine. The power supply is new. $100 firm, local pickup only, San Diego , CA
  3. All are set to /mnt/user with the exception of the Syncthing Docker App Data Config Path witch is /mnt/cache/appdata/Syncthing Cache is set to Perfer
  4. Fix Common Problems started warning me a few month ago that the rootfs folder was at 100% This seemed to start after an update a few months back. The system runs fine for a week or so and then became unresponsive. I was busy at work and didnt have time to did into it until recently. One by one I removed plugins until all I had left was CA and Fix Common Problems. I ran this way for a couple of weeks without any issues. On 5/26 rootfs showed 6% full which is where it had been for two weeks. On 5/27 I installed the Unassigned Devices plugin and before long footfs was full. Thank you in advance for any advice. gandalf-diagnostics-20180528-1716.zip gandalf-diagnostics-20180526-0907.zip FCPsyslog_tail.txt

  7. Synology DS 1515+ 5 bay nas. New unit, removed from box, booted with 2 drives to verify functionality. 4 gig nic's, 4 USB 3.0 and 2 eSATA ports. You can run Dockers, Active Directory, DNS, VPN and many other packages available free from Synology. More from Synology website at https://www.synology.com/en-us/products/DS1515+ This unit was won in a raffle but I already have two Synology boxes, one backing up my unRaid server via rclone Current pricing from Amazon or NewEgg is $699. $550.00 firm + actual shipping
  8. Currently running unRaid (although I have run FreeNAS as well). The board and box are capable of up to 6 dives but I have been using 4 x 4tb Reds with dual ssd’s as buffers. This is a very powerful system and doesn’t break a sweat running multiple streams. All components are “server” grade and are less than 6 months old. Why am I selling? More drive space of course! Amazon price when purchased in February $616.31. $500 firm and no, I won’t piece it out. Prefer local San Diego but will ship for actual charges. 9. I have caching disabled for that share and have had Plex disabled since the problem began. The really strange thing is that last week I was able to upload files at a good clip. Amount of ram (16 gb ECC) shouldn't be a problem unless something is hammering it. Attached is a screen shot of System Status during on of the slow transfers. Seems to be just loafing along. I tried again with caching enabled on that share and went from 3 mb/s to 9. Still a far cry from last week.
  10. Thanks for having a look Squid. The slow speeds are persistent. I can move large files across my network from my desktop to my Synology box at speeds in the 60-80 mb/s range. I have disconnected the share from my desktop, re-mapped and still have the issue. I have deleted the share from my unRAID box, re-created it and tried but still have the issue.
  11. Sorry , should of done that first thing but the weekend plans interfered. So, following a reboot I tried to move a 1 gb file from my workstation to the Media share on my unRaid box (Gandalf) Speeds were below 3 mb/s. Last week speeds were in the 70-90 mb/s range. gandalf-diagnostics-20160417-1957.zip
  12. New user here attempting to transfer my movie collection to the the Media share on my unRaid box. Last night I kicked off the transfer and things looked fine. Speeds were in the 80-90 MB/s range. This morning I fully expected the job to be complete but its still running. Speed is down to less than 1 MB/s. I killed the job as it would of taken a few weeks to complete at that rate. I rebooted both the host and client and tried again grabbing about 5 movie files and dragging them over. Again, started like gangbusters and then the brakes were applied. Killed the job and tried again using robocopy. Same thing. I think the network is ok, I can ping the server and get returns < 1ms. I can open and play a movie with Plex from the WebGUI. I can transfer data from my windows computer to an external drive at good speeds. Ideas?
