  1. I am trying to install Unraid 6.12.3 on a server that I just built. When the GRUB menu shows up it is shifted to the right and partially offscreen. When I try booting with the GUI/No-GUI/No-modules the machine hangs after displaying a number of errors. I have added the images here to see if anyone else has had these issues. Please let me know if you need more information. FYI: I dont have any hard drives plugged in. This is just the USB plugged in. Motherboard: MSI MS-7793/FM2-A85XA-G65
  2. Hey Joe, I just want to confirm that doing a chkdsk on the USB drive fixed the issue. Rebooting the server does not cause it to forget the added drive. Thanks!
  3. Thanks Joe. I plugged the USB into my computer and it asked if I wanted to scan and fix the USB which I did. Interestingly tho, I was able to make changes to the go and network.cfg file and save them before fixing (above) so I would say it was writable. Is there a way to add back the new disk (since it is already pre-cleared) without having to go through the entire process again (7+ hrs). If I try to do it the normal way (shut down array -> add disk it says it a new disk and needs to be precleared). Or is there a way to test to see if the config will stay before I start the preclear? Can I manually add it to the disk.cfg file? Thanks again.
  4. hey guys I've been having some problems lately when I tried to add a new drive. It zeros the drive and then I manually format it. The drive is added to the array and even mounts correctly. I am able to copy and everything. It works perfectly until I reboot. It's like if I never did the process. And then I have to go through the whole pre-clear again/format etc. I have done the whole thing twice already! I really don't want to waste a whole day again only for the same thing to happen. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Unraid version 4.6

Its not that bad. You can do what I did Thats why I went with the 690 II Advanced instead of the 590. It has the six internal drive bays that slide out like Blofeld's case. With two additional 3-in-2's thats 12 drives. Perfect for a Plus licence. Should I require more I can always get a bracket for over the PSU as per Joe's recommendation. That way you have the internal 6 drives and 6 drives available via the two 3-in-2. Unless you need more drives
  8. This was happening to me and was creating all sorts of problems with my flash drive. I had to reformat it 5 times. I finally disabled CP and never had the problem since.
  9. ^^ And hope you dont mix them up putting it back in
  10. You might be able to get away with something like this

Lack of communication from Tom is the only downfall of unRaid. If it wasn't for this community unRaid would have never succeeded because 99% of all the solutions to problems (and you WILL have problems) come from the community. God forbid the hero members leaving this forum.. unRaid will die.
