  1. Ok, excellent info. I will be sure to not right to a user share until my copy is complete then I will turn it off. Thank you all again great forum!
  2. Switchman I cannot thank you enough!! Yes on V6 its under Settings / Global Share Settings / Export Disks. Then I had to go to Shares and turn them from hidden to Yes. Thanks again!
  3. Thanks switchman. If I go the teracopy route I still cant think of how I can only select the files on a specific disk without going through it manually. I looked over shares and dont see a way to share only 1 disk so that I could then transfer all the files on it.
  4. Im looking for the best way to move all the files off of one specific disk to an external drive via windows so that I can then format the disk to a new filesystem. I cant move the files from within unraid because my box is about 98% full. I know doing it this way maybe slower but that doesn't bother me. Does anyone know of a way to move just the contents of a specific disk without having to do it manually one item at a time? Thank you for your time! I also wanted to mention I read up on midnight commander but from what I could gather it moves files only within the Unraid box. I could be wrong though. Thanks.
  5. Yes all my disk are reiserfs. I guess ill have to try and move all items off a disk one at a time and then format them xfs using unraid.
  6. Well I used Open Files Stop Array Processes and the system shutdown properly last night. So I will continue to give that a try. Its slightly annoying that I have to use a plugin to get my system shutdown properly but its better than nothing.
  7. Thanks for the input. Im deleting UnBALANCE to see how that goes. I had this problem before installing Open Files. I installed it to try and figure out what was causing the hang. Thank you Squid I had been using Open Files to kill all before attempting a shutdown but of course im blind and didnt notice the shutdown command from inside it. I will give that a shot tonight when I shutdown the computer!
  8. Thanks Frank, Yes I have Powerdown Package 2.19 Installed and actually used it via telnet with the powerdown command before posting my last comment.
  9. I have had Unraid become unresponsive and unable to shutdown requiring a forced powerdown the last few days. I tried to shut it down by using open files plugin to kill all then proceed to shutdown using the built in shutdown. My syslog im attaching shows me using open files at Feb 23 05:52 to kill all connections then I tried to shutdown. As you can see I came home from work and the computer was still on and unaccessible via GUI so I used telnet to powerdown via powerdown package 2.19 command which still did not shutdown the computer that is at Feb 23 16:02. So I used diagnostics command gathered the files and force shutdown. Any help on why my sytem hangs on shutdown would be appreciated. Thank you tower-diagnostics-20160223-1625.zip
  10. oh I had a Doh! moment. I realized yes all my drives are reiserfs. But in disk settings it's set to xfs so probably if I were to install a new drive it would will be the new file format. But as of right now all my drives are reiserfs. Thanks.
  11. Thank you for the responses. Yes I agree the Sempron is old but Im merely using Unraid as a media server no VM and basically no plugins. The plugins Im using are: Prelcear Disks ver. 2015.11.18 Powerdown Package (2.19) Open Files ver. 2015.12.18 UnBALANCE ver. 1.3.4 Community Applications ver. 2016.02.20 Dynamix webGUI ver. 2016.02.09 Unraid Server OS 6.1.8 Also Yes I did completely format and start fresh on my USB drive for V6. I also just noticed that my Disk Settings is set as XFS I don't recall setting that up It must have been defaulted. I attached my diagnostics zip in the first post it was literally taken 2 mins before Unraid become completely unresponsive. If that one does not show any errors I can try to get another diagnostics zip.
  12. So for about the last month my copy of Unraid 6.1.7 has become very unreliable. After a day sometimes two I cannot access the web GUI. I try to shutdown over telnet to no avail. So I usually force powerdown then just deal with the 13 hour parity check. This is not ideal and is not how my unraid 5 worked so Im looking for some help to get to the root of the problem. I was just able to run a diagnostics and save the zip and not even 2 minutes afterward Unraid was showing cpu utilization pegged at 100% and became completely unresponsive yet again. Thank you all for your time. Specs are Unraid 6.1.7 Sempron 145 4gb Ram ASUS M4A88T-M LE AM3 tower-diagnostics-20160213-1257.zip
  13. Yes my original power supply is on the recommended list: CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W - 28A, supports up to 12 green drives or 7 7200 rpm drives - recommended for small servers, 10 drives or less I'll have and install the new PS tomorrow. I didnt want to have the Unraid box running Im afraid of more drives showing up as not installed or newly installed.
  14. So my power supply was slowly going out and I didnt realize it. What happened was I had a drive appear as went bad so I checked all connections and then it was fine for a few hours and then had lots of errors so I took it out and RMA'd it. Then once I received the replacement I put it in and started the rebuild and then my parity drive went out. I checked all the connections and it would then see the drive and after a few hours it would get lots of errors, and randomly the new RMA'd drive would disconnect. So I shut everything down and ordered a new power supply but my concern is can I tell Unraid "Hey this parity drive is still good please use it" or am I out of luck. What can I do for the future to keep something like this from happening.
  15. Well sorry guys. I guess user names need to be lower case. So its working now sorry about that.
