My sons movie server mobo died and I've got a new one setup and going with 6.8.3. On the old server I had renamed his tower to stephentower because we have another server with the tower name. I can't remember how I changed the name or how I made it have a static ip address. Can someone either tell me how to do these things or point me to a tutorial. I checked the faq and didn't see anything, thanks

Thanks, that fixed it.

I've installed v6.6.6 and can see the file folders on the server but when I click on them I get a message you don't have permission to view these files (or something like that). My old v5 rc8 did not have this problem, how can I fix it, thanks.

My sons old v4 movie server has worked fine for many years until recently when the machine would no longer boot. I pulled the usb drive and tried in my pc and got an unreadable device error, so the drive has become corrupted. I still run a paid v5 rc8 and purchased 2 usb drives back then so I would have a spare. I have installed the spare usb drive in his server and it booted up with unassigned would like to get his server going again without losing data on the drives , is this possible? His server is a 2 drive + parity I have the drive bays and drives numbered so I know which drive is parity. I sure could use some help on this, thanks.
