Yes. What I think I am going to do is run 3 WD Desktop 10TB USB3 HDDs. I have tried a 8TB with Dune and it plays 4k flawlessly. I will then use Unraid for a true backup NAS. I also have Plex Docker on it so I can also use Plex if I wish. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk

I have a similar problem...my setup is pausing at random times during Bluray, and 4k movies played on a Dune HD Pro 4k. I have a GS200 Cisco Switch which connects all my AV equipment to the NAS. Sometimes it will pause several times during a movie...last night it paused 2 times during a movie (almost exactly 1 hour apart during the movie). I checked to see when my drives shutdown and it was set at 3 hours. This also started with V6 on my setup, but I also added the Dune HD Pro at the same time in my situation. I tried copying a couple of movies to my WD external drive and then playing them directly to the USB port on the Dune and they played flawlessly..so I figure it has to be something in UnRaid or my Cisco Switch. I have also tried playing Bluray rips on my Linux machine with the NAS and it does the same thing. I even switched the cpu setting (Unraid) to performance, and it made it worse so I switched it back again. I am not sure what to do now. I have another Cisco SG200-24 I will swap in to see if it solves the problem. I will report back. Did you ever solve it? Just upgraded to the latest...when it rebooted it hung after password, so I rebooted. So far it is good. I am testing to see if it solves my problem with pausing during movies. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk

Def good advice...when I moved to Mexico, I packed the server up well. When it arrived, I had a chunk of fan in the server, and a bad motherboard. No idea how a fan blade broke nor why the motherboard failed as it was working fine when I packed it up. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

What are the advantages of having 2 IP addresses...my MB also supports 2 IPs.

I had a similar problem after our big move... I ended up buying a new lan card, and upgraded my motherboard, and cpu. I think the problem was the onboard lan controller though. Everything is working better than ever now...although I do occassionally find a song or movie that skips now. I am thinking the parity drive had some unknown errors on it when I used it to rebuild. This is something strange that I just noticed after the hdd problem was fixed... My first Parity hdd has a green light, but is listed under historical as a missing hdd...is this just informational, and should I delete it? I do not want to mess up my parity hdd.

I just installed the latest stable version, and I am a little confused as to what I need in the new features. I use my UnRaid only in our home with no access to my files, movies, music, etc. from out side of the house. 1: I see it talking about SSL...I do not know what this is, and if i should even opt for it, or not. 2: Display settings, part... I understand changing my theme, but telnet protocol, docker support links (I have Plex, and 1 other docker installed only)? 3: VMs, what are these, and why would i do this? 4: AspeedIPMI where do I find out if I have this? Since Installing I am getting an error that it is unable to communicate with GitHub anymore, and I should reset my modem or try later...is this normal? Sorry about all the questions, I just do not understand what these features are for, and what they will do for me to be able to decide if i should set them up. I hope i have spelled everything here correctly, as I am using a 4k display in Windows and the text is horrible to read. Thank you very much.
