  1. my output from the above command is: NAS> cat /sys/power/state disk NAS> I hope that helps. FYI, I am not running unraid ATM I am currently running xpenology on this machine.
  2. Yes, I posted some of my findings here: https://forums.plex.tv/index.php?/topic/88316-intel-avoton-octa-processor-powerful-enough-to-do-1080p-many-streams/page__view__findpost__p__529342 It is a really impressive piece of hardware. If you get one, you will love it! It has no problems transcoding multiple1080p streams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. These boards just showed up! I just bought one from newegg for $359. Gonna give it a go. You got me concerned with your mention that it might not do well with Plex. That is one of my key components for this build. Looking at your link it does support MMX, SSE, etc though doesn't it? Any insight would be appreciated. I was thinking it should do fine for Plex based off of this performance review: http://www.servethehome.com/Server-detail/intel-atom-c2750-8-core-avoton-rangeley-benchmarks-fast-power/ more: http://www.servethehome.com/Server-detail/asrock-c2750d4i-atom-c2750-storage-platform-review/ Edit: Just went to add the newegg link and see that it is out of stock... I must have bought the last one! Here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157475
  6. First of all, such great info in this thread! Thanks all I am wanting to do a similar setup to all of your builds using this case. I want to put together a powerful ECC memory system so that I have the flexibility of switching to a ZFS system if I decide to (I am going to build the machine then try out unraid / ubuntu w/zfs on linux / freenas.) I am thinking I will go with unraid but I want to try everything out and I think I will feel great having an unraid setup with ecc anyways. My usage will be unraid as a media server w/ plex/sab/sb/cp Could any of you provide your input on this motherboard / processor combo: motherboard: Asrock E3C226D2I http://www.asrock.com/server/overview.asp?Model=E3C226D2I processor: Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1220-v3 http://ark.intel.com/products/75052/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1220-v3-8M-Cache-3_10-GHz Compared to an i3-4130 am I running my wattage up a lot? What about compared to an i5 Haswell? Am I gaining much processing horsepower with the Haswell Xeon? Are there compatibility issues I am missing? Thanks a million for the input!
