  1. Just added a 4TB WD red, shows 1.99GB used. I was worried until I found i'm not alone!
  2. Got my two today. In an 11"x9"x7" box, drives loose with 13 ( 8"x4") air pouches, only one with air in it. Anti Static bags pretty dinged up over circuit boards. Not a good sign. Can't check them out until tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
  3. Anybody heard anything yet, it's been 3 weeks. Sent 4 PM's, on the 5th, 9th, 10th and 13th. 2 confirming my order and nothing from the seller. The seller might be a great guy, but it makes it kind of hard to trust you'll ever get your order if you get a chance to pay for it. Might just buy else where, can't wait any longer.
  4. I'm in for 3 -- PM sent.
  5. Hi, I'm just about done setting up a new unraid server using ver.4.7. I have about 80% of my media copied over. I have not installed a parity drive yet. I got a great deal on a Norco 4224, and some M1015's, and I want to move everything to the new case. I will be using the same motherboard, but not the on board sata ports any more. My question is as I never assigned a parity drive do I need to worry about drive location in the new case? I will be using SFF-8087 to SFF-8087 SAS cables from the M1015's to the backplanes. Anything else I need to be aware of? Thanks
  6. Actually I have (12) 2TB Blacks. 8 in my array and 4 precleared and waiting to be added, and (2) 2TB Reds that are on their third preclear pass now. I am just over halfway done copying my files over to the array. And then i'll add the parity drive. Just wanted to know which one to save for parity. Looks like it should be the black. Thanks to all for your replies.
  7. Hi, Need the forums advice. What would be a better parity drive. The WD Red or the Black for the faster RPM. Thanks
