mgworek
Looking to downsize my server with 8 or 10 tb disks now. These boards have 10 sata ports so don't have to use an extra sata controller now. Also looking to be able to run vm's which I believe these can do. I haven't bought an intel CPU in 20 years so I am out of touch with them. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157601 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157544 this one has 2 nics which would be good for the vm's thanks! JorgeB
Either should work fine, not sure about the 2nd NIC on the extreme4, the Intel works for sure. Quote Link to comment

HellDiverUK
I've had 6 AsRock boards over the past few years, and every one of them has either been DOA, gone faulty after a few days, or just plain unstable. I wouldn't touch another AsRock with yours. Gigabyte or Asus every time now. Quote Link to comment
mgworek
Thanks for the info. I believe there were some Asus boards I looked at. I am really open, just want 10 sata ports, 64 gigs of ram and matx board. Quote Link to comment

You just have to treat them nicely and make them feel loved and they wont let you down Quote Link to comment
