  1. Very clean build! I love the idea of the aluminum ducting tape on the side panel. I've been wondering for a while what to do about my Centurion's vents; the best I could come up with was clear packaging tape. However, I could never fully bring myself to install it looking that cheap. I might steal your idea though, if you don't mind! What did you put on the sticky side facing the outside of the case? Black construction paper? Did you paint it?
  2. I've used musicbrainz for a while now, good program. Tomorrow I'll have to take a look at that Mp3Tag program you linked, BLKMGK.
  3. My name is in there! I'd have to agree with you though. I've found the community here to be far more informative and friendly than most.
  4. I'm with NAS on this one, I highly doubt that it could play any 1080P VC-1 Blu-ray images without significant framedrop.

I think it looks nice, I also think the animation speed is good. I think if it was any slower people wont notice or bother reading it.
  6. Sorry! I just glanced over the description, didn't realize it was refurbished.

  8. That is strange, thank you for posting the information. I've never personally experienced any issues while using my Abit AB9 Pro with a PCI videocard. Many other users on this board have the exact same setup (most of which use BIOS 22).
  9. AVS Forum: 48 Terabyte Media Server If you are interested in the Supermicro case, you might want to take a look at this guys server. He has the same case and took lots of pictures of his build. If you have specific questions regarding it you could also contact him, or you could just contact Supermicro directly as WeeboTech suggested.
  10. Ditto, I cannot emphasize that enough; good airflow is the key low temps and low noise. Just because you've got 25 fans inside your PC - pointing every which way - doesn't mean it will run any cooler than a well planed out 2 or 3 fan system.
  11. This question is definitely in the wrong section of the forum. Here is the How-To Guide for getting Twonky Media server to work. I don't know if anyone has worked on TVersity.
  12. I'll second that. I use G.Skill memory in my main PC, which has an abit AB9 Quad GT. I've never had a problem with it.
  13. I don't think it will be much of an issue to have the backplane fit. I just looked at some old pics and it looks as though it may work out OK. But the metal tabs at the bottom of every 5.25" drive are still there, if you look close in your picture you can still see them. Wont that interfere with all 5-in-3 backplanes? The 4-in-3 backplanes have indents to accommodate this.
  14. In my blu-ray collection I just keep the main movie and nothing else (no trailers or special features). It averages around 20-25GBytes per movie. I'm not recompressing them at all though, keeping the 1080P and 7.1 uncompressed audio. Its really not much harder than ripping dvds and isn't very cpu-intensive because I'm not reencoding anything. There are a few guides on slysoft's anydvd hd forum on how to do it if your interested.
