BLKMGK
Grabbed two via the regular Newegg site - thank you! I had just missed out on a 4tb the other day so this works out well to upgrade parity and a data drive Quote Link to comment

I picked up two myself, pre-clears reports were beautiful! Quote Link to comment
garycase
Anything under $35/TB is an excellent price for the larger drives -- and this fits the bill at $34/TB. Don't need any more drives for UnRAID, but just picked one up to add some additional storage to my HTPC. Now if the 8TB WD Reds would just drop to that range [$280 or less] Quote Link to comment
Drider
Now if the 8TB WD Reds would just drop to that range [$280 or less] Oh man you're singing a song I've been dying to hear there... Now I'm sure you mean RED Pros? Quote Link to comment

Now I'm sure you mean RED Pros? Nope ... just the 8TB WD Reds. In fact, there isn't an 8TB Red Pro => that is effectively just the HGST UltraStar HE8, which is the 7200 rpm "big brother" of the WD Reds. And I certainly don't anticipate that dropping to the $35/TB version anytime soon [although it WOULD be nice if it did ]. Quote Link to comment
