dib Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 I just got unRAID up and running under ESXi 5.5. I have an IBM M1015 (IT Mode) passed through for the disks. To anyone who has a similar setup what speeds are you seeing? I just added the parity and first disk and the parity-sync is running at about 20-30MB/sec. I'm using HGST Deskstar NAS 4TB drives. Wanted to know if this was the average speed most were seeing or if there is room for improvement. Thanks Quote Link to comment

dib Posted February 28, 2015 Author Share Posted February 28, 2015 Problem solved. The 1015 was in the third slot which was set to run at x2 mode. Swapped the card to the second slot and now parity-sync is running at at around 160MB/sec. I was in such a rush to get this up and running I didn't pay attention to where I stuck the card.
