  1. hello, please help I'm getting this error "Unraid API Error, API KEY: Network_Errornetwork" (there is more, I can't copy it something 'can't connect to mothership.unraid.cloud or something like that' I'm on v 6.11.5 that said - pinging 8.8.8.8, or even www.google.com is working fine! my real problem is that I want to download some plugins to preclear a disk (if you see in my log non of the devices are connected, I'm in the middle of rebuilding the server. I wanted to run a preclear on a disk that will replace one of my previous ones, before all the part for rebuilt arrive, but I can't download or update plugins... I also deleted network settings, and configured them fresh. tried adding all the DNS like 8.8.8.8, and even 208.67.222.222 for the apps (not sure its even related to plugins, but hey, had to try) - nothing. UPDATE: I also tried to Log Out of the MyServers, but I got this error Error: {"message":"Request failed with status code 403","data":"Oh noes! something doesn't seem right here"} also, I downgraded to 6.9.2 - but still nothing works. no internet, no 'logging out', nothing. UPDATE 2 - SOLUTION! So..., me and CHAT GPT have figured everything out! I had a corruption of the Unraid OS. at the beginning we kinda were in a loop going back and forth - 'check DNS, set DNS to 8.8.8.8 , restart router ....etc etc', but once I started to feed it some lines from the log, and some other observation, as we run some other tests suggested by GPT - it came to a conclusion that I have an OS corruption. we reinstalled the OS, saved all the configs, and that's it! everything works! THANKS CHAT GPT!!!!! LOVE YOU!!! for record - I used the paid version GPT 4.0, its a lot smarted vs. 3.5. to Summarize for people who may have same problem as me - - IF pinging www.google.com/github.com/any other WORKS - IF you restarted all your routers/AccessPoints (Wi-Fi stations) And you still CAN'T access the internet (community apps, or updates, or OS updates), - CONSIDER REINSTALLING FRESH UNRAID OS! /!\IMPORTANT/!\ to BackUp 'Config' folder from your Unraid flash drive before reformatting /!\/!\ I also recommend to test the flash drive with H2testW app (its for windows only unfortunately, other versions like for Mac did not work...), but VM to the Resque - anyway this app fills the flash drive with data then compares it, if flash drive has bad blocks or something - you will know. (btw - I just found that one of my NEW usb sticks from SanDisk was dead! so, great tool - btw - guess who recommended to use it ) Good Luck!!! Disclaimer: I'm not associated with Chat GPT in any way, just a regular technically inclined user, who's incredible impressed by AI language models - can't wait for the future implementations! tower-syslog-20230609-0417.zip
  2. i think i solved cable problem for now (just reconnected them one by one), no errors so far. docker still does not work though...
  3. Yeah I was suspecting cables as well, I’ll change them soon. any ideas about the docker problem? thanks
  4. Hi, i've uploaded the diagnostics file yeah, regarding the read errors, i suspect its not disk related, i get errors all over the place from time to time (for example its disk 2 and disk 11 now), and its been like this as long as i can remember, yet the server worked fine, never had drive failure, did rebuilt a drive couple of times without a problem...to be honest I've been ignoring the errors for quit some time, since i never found a clue to what is the source of the errors. i look at pending sectors for possible drive failure. if you can advice me what to look for, ill happily look into that as well thanks! tower-diagnostics-20180706-1756.zip
  5. Hello everyone! i have some problems with my containers 1) i can't update any container Pulling image: needo/sabnzbd:latest TOTAL DATA PULLED: 0 B Removing container: SABnzbd Successfully removed container 'SABnzbd' Command:root@localhost:# /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/scripts/docker create --name='SABnzbd' --net='bridge' -e TZ="America/Los_Angeles" -e HOST_OS="unRAID" -p '8080:8080/tcp' -v '/mnt/user/MEDIA':'/MEDIA':'rw' -v '/mnt/cache/Apps/SABnzbd':'/config':'rw' -v '/mnt/cache/Apps/SABnzbd/Downloads':'/Downloads':'rw' 'needo/sabnzbd' 24d0bbcf8f53e3330fb3998ef93bfa96359ffaf1115f6c5b002a0fa54d98a8c2 The command finished successfully! yet after this message 'update ready' button is still present 2) i deleted my plex container since it was not working (when i went to plex web gui - plex could not find the plex server (so...it could not find 'itself'?...). anyway, i deleted it and tried to add it anew from scratch, this is the message that i got: http://tower/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/icons/addcontainer.pngAdd Container Pulling image: needo/plex:latest TOTAL DATA PULLED: 0 B Command:root@localhost:# /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/scripts/docker run -d --name='PlexMediaServer' --net='host' --privileged=true -e TZ="America/Los_Angeles" -e HOST_OS="unRAID" -v '/mnt/user/appdata/PlexMediaServer':'/config':'rw' 'needo/plex' Unable to find image 'needo/plex:latest' locally /usr/bin/docker: Error response from daemon: Get https://registry-1.docker.io/v2/: net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers). See '/usr/bin/docker run --help'. The command failed. also, i tried to check for beta version of unraid OS (just for the sake of it, i would not install beta really), but if i select 'beta' in Branch, a circle will spin, and it will revert to 'stable'. no error messages or anything. i did change my hardware recently, but everything was working fine for a month. i can't link any particular event to this behavior. Thanx in advance for help! Syslog and HW profile attached, let me know if anything else is needed. Vadim tower-syslog-20180704-0547.zip hwprofile.txt
  6. Hi, first option is what johnnie.black said Second is putting data elsewhere i opted for for second option for now as I don’t really have spare 3tb drive , and I don’t really want to invest in one as I’m planing to upgrade sometime in the near future to huge drives - like 6tb or 8tb, but not right now, so, second option for now. thank you very much for your support!
  7. oh boy...that's going to be fun... i only have 2 hdd's with xfs, i did not bother to convert the rest, assumed 'if it still works - don't touch it' last question - what is the best way to approach conversion to xfs? 1) get new 3tb drive, rotate the drives like mentioned in unraid wiki ('rsync' and all that) -problem with this - i don't have 3tb drive to spare right now. (i have a bigger drive, 4tb but i can't leave it in the server. i can use it for the rotation, assuming it will work with my parity 3tb) 2) i can make spare space on my server in size of 4tb,- move 3tb data there, reformat 3tb drive, move data back, move other data to 4tb spare space, reformat the drives, etc. - is there any down side to this method? i'm actually prefer option 2), because i can convert even faster - i can move data from 4x1tb drives to the spare 4tb i have, and format 4 drives at ones, no need to do rotation... if you say its Ok to do it this way, i'll go for it, unless you say its a bay idea, and i must only go with option 1.... Thank you very much for support!
  8. A have added diagnostic file, i'm on 6.3.5 actually, i can't seem to find how to edit the signature (it's outdated, totally forgot about it)... found it! its up to date now
  9. Greetings everyone! I have problem with Mover - its not moving files. at all. Unfortunately i can't attach log file, because when i open log thru web-gui its empty, and when i open log from Tools/Log - when i copy it to textedit.app it just hangs (log too big perhaps?). anyway, here is the error i get: Sep 13 03:17:20 Tower root: rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1178) [sender=3.1.2] Sep 13 03:17:20 Tower move: file ./BACKUPS/MY FILES Backup/Photos Library.photoslibrary/resources/proxies/derivatives/43/00/4357/UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_4357.jpg rsync error: 23 Sep 13 03:17:20 Tower root: rsync: rsync_xal_set: lsetxattr(""/mnt/user0/."","user.org.netatalk.Metadata") failed: Operation not supported (95) Sep 13 03:17:20 Tower root: rsync: rsync_xal_set: lsetxattr(""/mnt/user0/."","user.org.netatalk.has-Extended-Attributes") failed: Operation not supported (95) also, at the end of the log i get this error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8388616 bytes) in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/DefaultPageLayout.php(383) : eval()'d code on line 73 And, yet another warnings i get (probably unrelated, but still..): Sep 13 00:51:59 Tower kernel: ACPI: Early table checksum verification disabled Sep 13 00:51:59 Tower kernel: xor: measuring software checksum speed Sep 13 00:51:59 Tower kernel: acpi PNP0A08:00: _OSC failed (AE_NOT_FOUND); disabling ASPM Sep 13 00:51:59 Tower kernel: acpi PNP0A08:00: ignoring host bridge window [mem 0x000d0000-0x000dffff window] (conflicts with Adapter ROM [mem 0x000cf800-0x000d57ff]) Sep 13 00:51:59 Tower kernel: ACPI Warning: SystemIO range 0x0000000000000400-0x000000000000041F conflicts with OpRegion 0x0000000000000400-0x000000000000040F (\SMRG) (20160831/utaddress-247) Sep 13 00:52:03 Tower rpc.statd[1521]: Failed to read /var/lib/nfs/state: Success Sep 13 00:52:08 Tower rc.diskinfo[5814]: PHP Warning: strpos(): Empty needle in /etc/rc.d/rc.diskinfo on line 339 Sep 13 00:52:11 Tower avahi-daemon[6482]: WARNING: No NSS support for mDNS detected, consider installing nss-mdns! 10. It seems that router firmware update fixed the issue! (though the previous FW was from 2014 so not that old...) Anyway, Plex did not want to connect at first anyway, but after i disabled "specify port manually" suddenly my Tower showed up on my router's UPnP page with Internal Port being 32400, while External Port being 16565, as well as 14439. Before FW upgrade Tower did not even show up in UPnP page on my router, and in Plex server showed External and Internal ports as 32400 (and no internet connection). Thanks everyone for help!
  11. My network setup goes like this: Unraid-->AppleAirPortExtreme (Bridge Mode)--> D-Link DSR-500 (router, UPnP enabled) --> Netgear (Modem - Bridge mode) (don't remember exact model - its what the provider supplied me with). can you give me a hint what i should forward exactly (after enabling Upnp i never forwarder anything for years, everything just works out of the box...). should i open TCP/UDP connection for 32400, or forward xxxx port to 32400? or 32400 to 32400 and specify my unraid LAN IP address? Thanks!
  12. Hello, I have plex installed. seems like there is a connection to the internet (I can sign in under 'server' - 'general', I can download subtitles , art, etc no problem) but i can't get remote access to work. under 'server' - 'remote access' it says "not available outside your network". i'm pretty sure my router is not the problem since literally everything else works (its set to Upnp after all). My guess is - either my network setting are wrong in docker or something to do with this specific repository... under docker network type is set to 'host'. repository: https://github.com/limetech/docker-templates unraid v 6.0.1
  13. well that's embarrassing! guys, sorry, i totally forgot that mc is part of unraid, i sincerely thought that its an add on (i think i even created false memories of installing it on unraid 5...) thanks for your help!
