  1. Hey. I’m having a problem trying to move plex over from the old phaze plex plug-in to Binhex plex docker. I’m back at an old plex Verizon 1.14.. due to the depreciation of the old container. specifically when I move my \Plex Media Folder to binhex To maintain my database I can restart the Docker and plex runs successfully but I cannot access plex from the local host website or the ATV plex app. The docker works plain vanilla and I can set up a new server but when I replace the database I cannot access the server. can someone please help me with what support files I should upload? Every time I’ve tried to do this changeover plex fails to start after replacing the database, which has left me stuck with the old depreciated version from phaze.
  2. Can anyone help me with best practices for copying files between 2 unRaid servers? I've though about using SMB and Midnight commander, but can't seem to get the remote server to mount. Since Im not running a true domain controller should it be it "Workgroup"? I don't see a place to name the Domain in the SMB share settings. What is the fastest method? I could make a cross over cable and connect the 2 servers. I'm upgrading but keeping the 2nd server. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  3. I have been having the same problem. What I just discovered is my 5 ghz radio on my internet router is using the same IP address as my static IP address of my unRaid server. Even when I turn the radio off, I cannot over ride the static address of the radio. This is creating a conflict with my network. Changing the static ip address of my unRaid server fixed the problem. This may not be a fix to your problem. I would have never though the radio would have a static ip address that is conflicting with my LAN.
  4. Ok. That makes sense. Now my question is regarding the OpenVPN plugin. So would extending the router to only route specific ip addresses prevent this from happening.
  5. Has anyone experienced their OpenVPN being hacked from the provider you are connected to? I use giganews as my usenet provider. My account comes with a free VPN to their severs. So I have been using the OpenVPN plugin to better secure my traffic from prying eyes. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36325.0 I thought there might be an issue with my AT&T uVerse router, so I reset the firewall effectively closing all pinholes to anything inside my network. I have no port forwarding turned on at this time. My unRaid box was still being hit as if I'm in the dmz, which I am not. See unRaid log attached. (the uVerse log is pretty useless) I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out how someone was getting past my firewall and directly to my unRaid box. Then it dawned on me that the unRaid box has a direct VPN path to Giganews. I decided to turn off the OpenVPN connection and now the log is showing 0 outside activity. (maybe the hackers are eating dinner ) From my research on the web I have found that OpenVPN is venerable to being hacked at the location it is hosted to. Giganews seems to be a pretty big usenet provider, so I am assuming they "should" be secure. They also have multiple VPN locations to connect to. My situation might be unique, but I am reaching the end of my googling skills. I have limited knowledge to internal things a VPN connection is doing. I'm not a newbie to unRaid, but nowhere near as technical as many people on this board. I could really use some external input about this problem, which ultimately appears to be causing my unRaid web server to crash. btw, GRC ShieldsUp! did not get any response when it queried my static IP. syslog.zip
  6. Ok. I spoke too soon. I seem to be having a firewall issue with my AT&T uVerse router. I shut down all port forwarding and confirmed that all ports are shut down. Installing Wireshark right now to go deeper. My question for unRaid users is that if my log files shows ip addresses trying to ssh into my unRaid box then i must presume they are getting past my firewall. Firewall logging is pretty weak and i have no control. Can someone please help me confirm that if my log file is showing all these requests to log on, then the log file is capturing an attempted login.
  7. Something was definitely up with my AT&T firewall. I found the hole, reset the firewall and fixed the problem. Really weird problem as one of my devices, an iPod, was on the network and mapped to my static IP address running in the DMZ. I could not reset it. Problem was not my unRaid box, but it was the subject of the attacks. Anyway, locked down tight now. Thanks for the help.
  8. Sure. I only had one port open for Plex. All others are closed. What can I do about Plex? To confirm, all those failed attempts are someone trying to ssh to my box, correct?
  9. Will do. Are you thinking the attempts on the box are causing the box to crash?
  10. I have been having a reoccurring problem where my unRaid main web site goes down after a couple of days. I am currently on 6.10 Beta. I'm still able to Telnet to server and all my shares are accessible. All apps installed continue to run without problems. Are there any other questions I need to answer? Thanks for the help and please help! Is it normal that I have so many attempts to ssh my box from the outside world? syslog.zip
  11. I did something stupid I guess. When I copied my config directory something must have happened as my super.dat file did not copy along with all the other files. Weird. Sorry.....
  12. I just upgraded from 5.0 to 6beta. No problems with the instructions. I am now booted and I copied over my old config folder. I was not expecting to have to remap all my drives in 6.0. I have not moved forward with anything and just stopped the upgrade. 1. Should I have to remap all drive assignments? 2. Is there a place in the logs that will tell me my old drive assignment? 3. Did I do something wrong... I searched the forums and did not find anything that points to this and I never had to set up my drive assignment from 4.7 to 5beta... Where am I going wrong?
