  2. Hi, One of my data drive has died. its a 3tb drive. I cant find 3tb drive to replace. Here are my array details Parity drives 2 x 3tb data drives 9 dead drive 1 free space 3.95tb Since i cant find a 3tb replacement (dont know why all store are out of stock), I think these are the options for me. 1. Replace both parity drives with 4tb drives. Reuse one of the parity drive as data drive. 2. Use unbalance to move all data out of virtual dead drive. remove dead drive out of array. Question. 1. Are there any other options? 2. What are the pros and cons of the available options?
  3. I dont understand. SMART status passed. But failed preclear. What happens actually? Can this justify return?
  4. What is the status of the preclear? Is it completed? Can I shutdown my server? Attached Preclear ui and logs.
  5. Short SMART test has completed. I upload the recent diagnostics. tower-diagnostics-20211008-0237.zip
  6. My SMART short self-test stuck at 90% for half an hour. How long does it usually take to complete SMART short test?
  7. Can you check the smart error log? Does it really says it faulty? It does says SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: PASSED A bit confused.
  8. Just bought a new hdd to replace failed drive. The new drive failed on preclear. There are thousand of hours on the drive lifetime. The drive also have no warranty. https://drive.google.com/file/d/146FuzD5QQG7HLa_ZDqjCRBjqbpxHpS-L/view?usp=sharing Any advice?

  11. Thank you. I am not aware of the pdf guide. After enabling SMBv1 (as per pdf guide), it seems to work fine on my end. Sorry for the question asked. I was really frustrated having to troubleshoot all day. Thanks.
