  1. I've been using my UnRaid4.7 for about a year or so now. I have two 2TB HD. Initially, I created several user shares with High Water, Split Level 0, and 4mb min free space. I didn't really think much about the setup until recently.... One (disk1) of my two 2TB HD is full! The other (disk2) is empty. So I updated my user shares to Hight Water, Split 2 or 3, and 10GB min free space. Even though I changed it, nothing happened... there was no rebalancing of the data files in the server... I tried this hint by Raj, http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=8187.msg79272#msg79272. Basically, create a new user share with proper settings and move the files from the old user share to the new user share. So I tried this command: "nohup mv /mnt/user/Photography/* /mnt/user/Photography2 &" That didn't work. The data stayed in the same disk (disk1); disk2 is still empty... Worst case, I will move all my data to an external hard drive via SNAP (http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=5904) then empty/delete/clean out the unRaid Server, reset the user shares settings, then copy back the data from the external hard drive.... I really don't want to do it this way.... Is there a better way to do this?
  2. Or you can use a C-clamp to bend the side rails. Make sure the C-clamp is deep enough to reach all the way to the end of the rails. For my Azza Helio 910 case, I used a 5 inch deep C-clamp.
  3. Hello. I have Windows and I'm editing the Go script via Putty/Telnet using Midnight Commander. Is there a command or mouse click that I can do to copy the beep codes above and paste it in Midnight Commander? In "putty" a right hand mouse click pastes what is in the clipboard. In windows, "control-c" copies what is highlighted to the clipboard. Thanks for pointing me to the right direction. I had to press shift-right click to paste in MC.

    SATA Cables

I recently bought five 18inch non-locking SATA 3 (6MB/s), two 14ft and one 25ft Cat6 ethernet network cable...all for $22.22. This doesn't include shipping because I'm picking it up. So do yourself a favor and go with monoprice.
  6. Preclear 2 done. I precleared twice already...I should be ok right? Time to assign devices and then look into CrashPlan. Crash Plan Crash Plan Wiki Crash Plan Thread preclear_results_20110606a_forum.txt
  7. Hardware Build is done. Preclear cycle 1 is finished (see attached). I will begin cycle 2 in a moment. [update] "Preclear results look good." -Raj preclear_results_20110605a_forum.txt
  8. Hehe. After perusing the forums, it's going to be more than an archival machine. I also bought it already prior to reading this post today! Looks like I'll be buying these! Why couldn't NORCO give some kind of warning, like a red paper with text saying "READ ME!!!" in their box? I was trying to pull teeth when I used the AZZA screws! I almost broke the plastic arm on Slot A. I did a screwy screw install process...don't ask. I was about to RMA this box with my Seagate HD in it! After I removed all the mounting screws, I tried one last time to remove the HD and it came off so easily. > My setup is up and preclears are done on my three drives. I haven't assigned the drives yet. I'm debating whether I should do a second preclear cycle. Attached is my first preclear results. preclear_results_20110605a_forum.txt
  9. Same issue here. I just finished preclearing 3 SATA HD (Seagate A, Hitachi B, WD C). Everytime I click on "MyMain" menu, I get this message: "Precleared disk sdb not found in drivedb[] (Drive related)." Also, under the "Usage Notes" column, I do not see a preclear successful for sdb. Under the "St" column, the sdb is "Unmounted (non-array) Disk." In the "Syslog" menu, I do see "Precleared disk sdb not found in drivedb[] (Drive related)." Is "MyMain" reading off of the syslog? Anyway, I do see in the syslog that sdb was precleared: == Disk /dev/sdb has been successfully precleared (Misc) == with a starting sector of 64 (Misc) == Ran 1 cycle (Misc) Lastly, I didn't get an email when Preclear finished on sdb; the other two HDs were fine. Update: Wrong email address! [update]: I rebooted my unRAID, I don't see "Precleared disk sdb not found in drivedb[] (Drive related)" in the Syslog or in the MyMain menus. Usage Notes column is now blank as well.
  10. Something like this... | | |--- <(clamp) | | |<(clamp) | Bending it so that the tab that projected is now in line with the rest of the sheet metal rather than with a 90 degree bend in it. By any chance, can someone post a before and after pic of the tab bending technique?
  11. Someone was able to use a 92mm that he had lying around but it was jerry rigged! He hinted that he'd use the Noctua 80mm the next time around. I'm hoping those cables come along with the mobo and cage... It should arrive in a couple of days!!! As for the tabs in the case, this post suggests to use a C-clamp...might ease the bending process.
  12. Did you successfully replace the 80mm cage fans with the Noctua 92mm fans?
  13. I bought the items today. I'll be here in less than a week! With my build, here are potential issues: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12803.msg121537#msg121537 Azza Helio 910 Top fan might rattle...solution: try reinstalling Norco SS-500 stock fan might be loud...solution: replace it (Possibly the Noctua 80mm fan) Update [Hands on experience]: Right now, I have my UNRAID on top of my desk; being memtested. The Norco fan the loudest of all the fans in my stock setup. Replacement is very necessary. Norco SS-500 screw issue might be too long...solution: use shorter screws or add a washer Update [Hands on experience]: The screws that is packaged with Norco Module is for the hard drives, they are short. These screws can be used for mounting the Norco Module but it isn't enough to for both. I tried using the shortest screw from the AZZA case to mount the Norco Module, no freaking bueno! If install the freaking hard drives before you mount the Module, you're gonna go nuts trying to take out the hard drives from the module. What I ended up doing is using the shortest AZZA screws but I didn't tighten them all the way, only enough before the screws hit the outer drives (Slot A and E). Sounds like Directory Caching is slow with a 2gb of RAM... If there are USB_Boot_Issues, check here. Other: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=7998.msg113242#msg113242 Based on Raj's 5 Drive Budge Box, it appears that I may not need to buy cables.
  14. Raj or anyone, what fan replacement would you recommend for the Norco SS-500 80mm fan?

I couldn't put the front cover on properly because the horizontal plastic bar was hitting the Norco Module (installed on the bottom). A 5 inch deep C-Clamp is a MUST to bend the tabs. I took a SATA cable from my other PC (I couldn't wait to purchase at monoprice) and the SATA plug was too thick when using it as part of a pair.
