I really don't care what you named you unRAID box, I just found it interesting that it was called that. As for the segfault, can't really help there since you don't have any packages installed. Electric
Thanks for the reply. I do not seem to have the rc.unRAID script you are referring to. You should be able to type this at the command prompt: /etc/rc.d/rc.unRAID stop and then /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & to restart it. I'm certain that /etc/rc.d/rc.unRAID is NOT part of the stock unRAID in either the 4.7 series or the 5.0beta series. It is part of one of the user-add-ons if it exists. (I think part of the powerdown add-on) In addition, on my server, it does not stop emhttp. (that line in the rc.unRAID script is commented out) Joe L. Quote Link to comment
prostuff1
Thank you for that little lesson JoeL. One of the first things I do when I get unRAID up and running is install unMenu and then the Powerdown package. Learn something new every day!! Thanks. Quote Link to comment

whiteatom
Turns out this has affected my little b14 box (unlicensed), and both of my buddies. Just they didn't notice because the boxes usually hum along wo incident. Anyone have any clue why this only affects some of us? 43 days up and it worked this morning because I was checking a disk temp during a large copy. Then tonight I went to check how much space I had left and .... Nothing except the segfault in the logs. whiteatom Quote Link to comment
whiteatom
After a very shaky rebook, things seem to be working again. My array would not start and I kept getting segfaults in emhttp, so I shut down, pulled the flash drive and tried a diskcheck on it. No errors found, plugged it back and and rebooted... after a parity check and a one more segfault I managed to get a clean reboot and it's ok now. I'd love to know what causes this so i can try and prevent it. My other system is still continuously segfaulting, but I'm in the process of wiping it completely clean and putting a fresh b14 on it. I'll probably be over to look at my buddies systems this weekend. whtieatom Quote Link to comment
Electric
By any chance, are others experiencing this problem also using an AMD NForce4 motherboard like I am? Mine is an Asus A8N-E. Not sure if it is really Mobo related, though, since it ran for months without incident before I "upgraded" to Pro. Quote Link to comment
Electric
Okay, so I went out and replaced my Asus A8N-E mobo with an Asus P8Z68-V LX and the cheapest i3 processor I could find. So far, no emhttp crashing. Happy happy joy joy. Quote Link to comment
Electric
Sigh. Problem has returned. What else could it be? Bad flash stick?
