This looks like an amazing deal, but ... any reason I wouldn't want to get a couple of these?
I need to build a server for my sister for all of her work, and another for the house, but don't want to get something that is going to be problematic. I can't find much of anything on the forum about the motherboard, but the CPU, RAM, and the controller cards do not seem to be an issue.

Any info would be much appreciated (sorry for the newb question...)

The board is a server grade board. Chipset is an intel, don't think unraid have issue with those. Even if the mobo doesn't work with unraid, strip it out and put in a standard ATX. A 24 bay chassist is at least 300.

The included raid cards is at least $100 pop each - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815121009&Tpk=sat2-mv8

The only downside I see is higher power consumption than a more modern build, but for all the money you'll save it is probably worth it!

"More than 10 available / 33 sold" QQ I wish I lived in the states.. This would cost me another $300 to have it posted to AU :(

Just so you are aware, they do also quote "Hard Drive: has internal 160GB IDE drive for OS, but no SATA hard drives in trays, tray style may vary from what is pictured" but this shouldn't be an issue. Still might be worth checking for anyone looking to buy though.

Just for my own curiousity, if anyone finds out the dimensions could you post them? I wan't to know if I'm actually missing out, I have a feeling these would be too deep for my rack anyway.
Link to my build:
Core i3 540 | Gigabyte H57M-USB3 | 2GB DDR3 | Custom modified chassis | Corsair VX550W 80 PLUS PSU
1x 500GB Seagate 7200 (Cache) | 6x 2TB Seagate LP 5900 | 1x 1TB WD GP 5400 | 1x 1TB Seagate 7200
Total Storage: Raw 14.5TB, Redundant 12TB, Formatted 11.06TB

Compared to a desktop, yes.  Compared to a typical server, its quiet.

Compared to a desktop, yes.  Compared to a typical server, its quiet.

Especially if you swap out the stock fan wall. With 3 120s instead of 4 80s, noise is quite reasonable.

In for 3.  Somebody else bought the last one.  If you still want one, they have this one for $25 more.  Shipping was $90 per server.

Wonder why they have 3 power supplies in them.  They are non standard and you can see them here.  I probably don't want to know how much they cost to replace....

Looks like they are all gone folks. I was able to snatch up 2 of the lower spec ones originally linked. Apparently there was a post on AVSforum for over a month about these things, and it generated a bit of chatter.

Making a new thread for people who bought one of these servers off ebay. I just got mine in and am having issues getting it to boot off the flash drive.

So, if you purchased the $200 or $225 version of this server: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150813402842?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1957wt_1396

This is the thread to troubleshoot it in:  http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=20913.0

They've been tested with 3TB drives.
