The MB supports IPMI, but needs a Supermicro Add-on Card AOC-SIMLP-3+ - remote management adapter to fit the SIMLP IPMI slot.

If you received yours already, did they come with this add-on card to support ipmi?

Am I correct in guessing these are the power supplies for the servers?  Mine server should be in shortly.  From the photos it looks like the servers can actually take 4 power supplies.    :o

This what I was guessing as well, since it is from the same seller. However when I looked up the case http://www.aicipc.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ref=RSC-4ED2 it appears that only three are in it in the photo, so I am unsure. I don't think that the seller removed one from each server, but idk.

When I get the server I ordered, I will check it out, may need to get a couple extra modular pus's.

EDIT: Looks like that is a custom solution for that case by a company, but it is the only pics of the case I found, and there it also only uses 3 PSUs.

Mine should be arriving tonight, out for delivery according to shipper. This was extremely quick shipping, I don't use paypal so tams called me monday for payment. I am in Cali and they are in Utah, so 3 days on shipping on large items like this is impressive.

Looks like the units do come with the card for IPMI.

Looks like the listing was 100% accurate. Pictures showed 3 PSU's, 3 MV8's, ect, ect.

On a side note it looks like the shipping BIOS on the super micro does not boot from anything but SATA or CD. I didn't have time tonight to update the BIOS. But was able to confirm that out of the box my units would not boot a newly imaged UNRAID flash drive.(I am positive it was correct, booted my custom built norco build no problem.)

I can confirm that these are not the power supplies for these servers, at least mine. The rear pins that connect are entirely different.

The only thing I was disappointed by was that the units came with no HDD screws, thought I read another user got plenty, maybe he requested them when he spoke with the seller.

The IPMI card - is that that thing that's blinking?

Where it seems they got it to boot from the usb drive. I'm having the same issue, wants to boot from a hard drive. I'll give it another look tonight. I didnt get any screws either.

On boot there is a dialogue that states that the current version of the BIOS only boots from SATA or CD. I am going to look into updating the BIOS and then I am sure it will be fine. If not, I will be loading some sort of OS on a SATA drive.

The IPMI Card is in the innermost slot. Not sure where you got the "blinking" from, but yes, it is that one.

May be an option, thought I read somewhere on here though that this hardware config would not allow hardware passthrough. So even using a ESXi install I wouldn't be able to virtualize Unraid.

That's what I was just about to post. If someone can prove that wrong, I would be VERY happy.

There is a small card in a black slot, and it has a light that blinks. Doesnt attach to anything else.
