ilovejedd
Are the newer chipsets (P43, P45, G45) supported in Linux yet? I'm considering the above motherboard for an unRAID build. 8-SATA port P35's are becoming rare and I'm planning on using a Wolfdale which isn't supported by the ABIT AB9 Pro. Quote Link to comment
woods62
I'm using a DFI LP DK P45-T2RS PLUS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136053, it has 8 SATA ports, and I had to use the usb-zip formatting bat provided by brainbone http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2407.0 It's up and running for about 3-4 days now with no problems. Transfered over about 600 GB now. Quote Link to comment
jason4207
The MSI P43 Neo-F has had no issues for me thus far. This is my 1st build, so I'm not sure what to look for as far as problems. I'm still on the trial of unRAID, and have transferred about 300GB across. I also want to mention that this board let's you undervolt on everything, so you can reduce power usage to a minimum. This board runs nice and cool. Here is my unRAID noob experience w/ it thus far. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2445.0 Quote Link to comment
