limetech
Download Please see readme.txt in the release zip file for installation/upgrade instructions. Release 5.0.2 is different from 5.0.2-rc1 in that only the "-rc1" suffix was dropped. Quote Link to comment
garycase
FYI, I tried 3 times to download this ... twice it was "The file can't be downloaded" and the 3rd time it said "The download was interrupted" almost immediately after it started. I've had several similar instances in the past 3 weeks or so when trying to download UnRAID for several friends. At first I attributed it to issues with their connections; but I've had the same problem at home a couple times (lastly tonight). Considering the number of others who have reported similar problems (on another thread that you've commented in), it seems likely there's some kind of issue with your download service. peter_sm
works fine from here (several times), shall I drop the file on my dropbox? I do not now if Tom like that ? //Peter Quote Link to comment
limetech
Just downloaded via Firefox, took 22 secs. Via Chrome also took about 22 sec. Via IE, at first it said "Couldn't be downloaded", but upon clicking Retry, downloaded again in around 22 sec. Waiting to hear from download host. Quote Link to comment
garycase
Just did it again (via IE). Said it couldn't download ... but then did it when I clicked Retry this time. Took over 2 minutes to do it, but it worked (My DL speed is over 20Mb, so it's not the connection that's slow). Good MD5, and good extract, so all's okay now. But there have definitely been some issues with the downloads lately -- too many folks reporting this to be a fluke. Quote Link to comment
S80_UK
About 22 seconds for me here in the UK, no download failures. I guess that's as fast as it will go. Quote Link to comment
garycase
Just for grins, I just did it again => got the "couldn't be downloaded" message; then clicked Retry and it downloaded in ~ 22 seconds. Quote Link to comment
nars
I could get same problem again when downloading with my 20Mbps home DSL connection in Portugal, the download starts already too slow like 100KB/s, but then gets even worst going down to something like 50KB/s and then just suddenly stops like if it was complete - on Firefox - and I get an incomplete/truncated file. From two attempts 1st time got a file with 2.6MB and 2nd time 3.2MB... However I did tested to download with wget on 3 dedicated servers (NL, DE and US, all Leaseweb) and on all of them just got good file at 1st attempt and good speed near 10MB/s, then it really doesn't seem to affect all sources, maybe some main connection is not ok on that hosting company or something that affects downloads only from some specific locations? Anyone else having problems to get it may just get it from my download mirrors on my sign. Quote Link to comment
spylex
5 download failures in a row, 6th worked fine. It just downloads between 50-80% and assumes complete. Quote Link to comment
Fireball3
don't worry, its just the NSA checking the files for you ... Quote Link to comment
garycase
Just downloaded it from nars' US mirror and it took ~ 15 seconds Quote Link to comment
jumperalex
You all know what the problem is right? It isn't hosted on an UnRaid server Quote Link to comment

Vocatus
Could I suggest possibly putting this out on BitTorrent or BT Sync? That way we avoid the single point of failure, and it lets the community put their bandwidth to good use. Just a thought. Quote Link to comment

Hoopster
I have never had any issues downloading any UnRaid release ever. The latest in the 5.x family are no exception. I downloaded 5.0, 5.01. and 5.02 as a test and each one downloaded in ~2-3 seconds with Firefox (I have a 100 mbps fiber connection). All are the expected ~35 MB in size and all MD5 check sums are good and all zip files extract and seem to be intact. Maybe the difference for me is my Internet connection is fast enough that before any download issues can occur, the zip file is already downloaded? Quote Link to comment

That means you probably "messed" syslinux possible you had older syslinux "installed" on the usb flash drive and you updated menu.c32 or deleted ldlinux.sys (created when you did ran the .bat), then you should just need to connect the usb flash disk to an Windows PC and re-run the .bat to "re-install" syslinux and the problem should be sorted. jowi
*phfew* those were some stressy moments Like nars said, i had to re-run the bat file for some reason. Well, the batfile itself does not work (it never did and probably never will, it keeps complaining i have te rename the disk to UNRAID which it allready is) but i ran the syslinux -ma by hand, after that unraid booted again... Don't know why this happened. I only replaced the 2 binaries from 5.0 to 5.0.2 but i ended up copying ALL files and had to run the batchfile. Btw, webgui is still active, so i'm back in business Quote Link to comment
