Errors on log - not sure what it is...!

Hi,

Just saw this in my log - can anyone help with deciphering what this error is?

Mar 29 12:18:58 Tower kernel: Process java (pid: 11984, ti=f18d4000 task=f70e32a0 task.ti=f18d4000)

It's a misconfigured or incompatible JAVA add-on.

Thank you dgaschk. Do I need to do anything about it? Not sure which add on is causing the issue.

I have the Dynamix web GUI installed and few of its addon's could it be one of those maybe?

Also using uu's syslog filters these are the most recent errors and minor issues from the log:

Never seen these many issues pop up in the syslog. I'm not sure what is going on. Anything troublesome that I should be worried about?

Syslog shows numerous "interface fatal errors" (handshake issue) on the interface to your SSD.  It's connected to the first port on a 2 port addon card.  I'm going to take a guess and say it's an Asmedia 1061 card?  Unless you know a way to check for a firmware update for the card, the only suggestion I have is to switch the SSD to a motherboard port, should be as fast, but is a different interface and perhaps more reliable.

Although I can't be sure, it does look like the error occurs in the java module.  It's tempting to say it's a buggy java.  I have noticed that other users' java module is from a very old version, so you might see if you can obtain a current version, "Version 7 Update 51" I believe at this time.  There have been a LOT of java bugs fixed.

Thank you RobJ.

Only one issue - I'm still wet behind the ears when it comes to linux - so how do I update/upgrade my Java module? All help is appreciated.

Thannks again for taking a look.

Unfortunately, I haven't done anything with java under UnRAID, and have not even gotten around to creating a single package or plugin, so can't really help you.  I would try to find out who may be responsible for the current java support (or whoever else may be interested in doing it!), and cajoling them into upgrading the package.

Try removing your Crashplan plugin. Reboot the array, and then check the syslog and see if the problem is fixed.

I made a quick look..you're running Crashplan plugin 3.4.1

Current plugin version is either 3.5 or 3.6

And meantime there's a thread that describes problems with 3.6 AT THE CRASHPLAN site.

Until that gets fixed, I'd suspend use of Crashplan.
