martinj
Since upgrading to Unraid 6 (from 5) I cannot access some of my folders in my user shares via SMB. It seems that a lot of folders (and some files) have invalid filenames. In OSX this makes the affected user share unavailable completely (reports 0 files). On windows I can access the files that are correctly named, but the other files/folders show up with empty names. Renaming the affected files from the unraid console makes them appear as expected via SMB again. Renaming the files manually is tedious, and I don't really know how to find them other than going through every folder manually I've found a script that will rename files/folders with special characters etc, but my it exits with an error message. The script can be found here: https://code.google.com/p/r-n-f-bash-rename-script/ I'd be really happy for any suggestions on how to run this script, or other ways of fixing my invalid filenames so that I can access my files via my network shares again.
