and for CPU I was thinking http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117499

and for Memory was looking at http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148973&_ga=1.207768210.1201760840.1440887778

I was looking to have this last for a while and support Vm etc. for Unraid v6

Thanks for any input and direction.

Excellent motherboard.

A low-end E5 series CPU => I'd spend a bit more and go with something like the E5-1650v3, which has nearly triple (actually 2.73 times)  the performance of the 2603  (PassMark for the 2603 is 4,922; for the 1650 it's 13,440).  If that's too pricey, look at an E5-1630v3, which scores 10297 on PassMark ... more than twice the performance of the 2603 for about $100 more.

The memory doesn't state on the product page that it's registered RAM -- be sure that's what you're buying.  Also, I'd use larger modules ... start with at least a pair of 8GB modules, as you'll definitely want some extra "headroom" once you start using virtual machines.
