P5Q + Cruzer Micro keeps rebooting

Here's what i did:

1. formatted the cruzer named it UNRAID, downloaded syslinux and put it on c: then i ran the command: c:\syslinux.exe -ma e: (that's where my drive is at). Then i extracted the latests version of unRAID to the cruzer, safely ejected it.

2. Set my bios to start from the cruzer and disabled anything else.

But here comes the problem: when i boot i can choose between unraid and memtest, if i choose unraid it says:

loading bzimage........

loading bzroot...ready, but then the system reboots and does it all over again?

Edit: Here's what i tried so far:

Ran memtest for 2 hours, no errors.

Changed usb from hi speed to full speed

Tried using a different port for my graphic card

Disabled onboard audio

No luck, anyway this is my setup:

Asus p5q deluxe

e5300

ASUS EN6200LE TC256/TD/64M, 64 MB

Kingston 2x1GB DDR2 PC6400 CL5.0

1x Samsung 1.5TB SATA300 32MB, HD154UI

Can someone please help this 'newbie' out, i've searched several pages but can't find a solution.

Thanks

Check out the wiki.  It has several items directly addressing this type of issue.  Odds are your motherboard/hardware combination needs one of the "boot codes" added to syslinux.cfg

More general tips are here in the wiki: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=USB_Flash_Drive_Preparation

Good that you ran the memory test.  It is the first somebody would normally suspect.

Thanks for your reply, after checking the wiki i tried:

removed initrd=bzroot from the kernel cmdline

------- Emulation Type FORCED FDD

changed  append initrd=bzroot to append initrd=bzroot rootdelay=10 acpi=off nolapic noapic

i've had it for today, trying to figure this out for 4 hours straight now, thanks anyway for your reply.

Edit: allright i gave it another try with a different usb stick, didn't help offcourse. Any advice would really be appreciated.

SOLVED IT! problem was the video card, now i use an old 6600 GT and everything works fine!

Got a small last question though: i just ordered server pro, but for now can i use the basic version and upgrade when i get my key without losing the array?

You sure can, just copy the .key file to your flash drive's config folder and then stop the array and re-start it  Everything else will be as you have configured it.
