Ziggy
Hello all I've been having issues with my Unraid 6.1.9 VM for a couple of days now. My box experienced an unexpected power failure several days ago and my Unraid VM has been freezing every couple of hours since (there's complete network loss, and even the local authentication terminal is frozen). A reboot usually fixes the problem, but only temporarily. I cannot post a log since I have to trigger a forceful reboot. I've never had this problem before, and I have not pushed any hypervisor updates as of recent. I think it's safe to assume that my problem is caused by some kind of hardware failure or Unraid installation corruption. Like I said, I'm running Unraid 6.1.9 on an ESXI Hypervisor, Unraid is booting from a 8GB Flashdrive, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 12TB pool with 7 drives, 240GB RAID 0 cache pool (2x128GB cache SSDs), AMD FX6300 6x3.5 no HT. Since the last reboot (as I'm writing this up) I got a SMART warning regarding the relocated CT-count of my second drive. I am aware of the age of this drive and have a spare one to go, though I do not suspect this could be the reason of Unraid freezing. Could it? I can confirm complete network loss: https://gyazo.com/3692b5babc2fb6316b2c7b6d2fae35df This screen does not respond: https://gyazo.com/fbc30674022b548d297ace967f5a3850 Overview of my array (note the warning): https://gyazo.com/0fad99707cea112a0da7249fb6e5af7f Disk 2 SMART report: https://gyazo.com/3cb496145e48b0622ee68e7c21ddaff8 List of my plugins: https://gyazo.com/6a7643a35eef2ec59e7a80f4d607f06f List of my Docker images: https://gyazo.com/63d1e3a96f4a7aea52c4ee3c47d97608 Any idea as to why this is happening? Many thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
Ziggy
Yeah... I'm starting to think it might be that failing drive... Every time the box comes back online after a freeze, the RSC value increases by 50-100 sectors... I'm going to swap it and report back. Could anyone explain why a failing drive is making Unraid hang?
