Yes.

Probably discussed here many times, but I'm just starting with unraid.

To quote Seagate PR directly: "International Disk Drive Materials and Equipment Association (IDEMA) have agreed that beginning January 1, 2011 all new product releases with SATA interfaces will support Advanced Formatted media."

It depends on how they handle it. The Seagate 3TB external drive uses advanced format layout, however they do their own translation at the interface layer to have it look and function like the old style drive. I might have misunderstood what they said, but that's what I gathered from the Anandtech review.

I just received mine from Newegg.  Any consensus on if these drives are ok in unRAID?

There seems to be 2 sets of jumpers, but not sure what they are for.  The manual shows some jumper settings for master/slave settings in PATA setup, so I don't think that applies.  Is there a way to know if it is working properly during the preclear script?
