detz
I needed a newer version of transmission so I followed the instructions on http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=7373.0 and then found these and installed them on top. Works like a charm on 4.5.6 http://dropa-public.s3.amazonaws.com/libevent-1412-i486-1.txz http://dropa-public.s3.amazonaws.com/transmission-2.04-i486-1mfb.txz Quote Link to comment
theone
What are the last two links you installed? Quote Link to comment
kenoka
What are the last two links you installed? One is the newer transmission client, and the other is probably a library that the new client needs. Quote Link to comment
BRiT
Yes, libevent is a library used by transmission. What is odd is it looks like he's replacing libevent with an older version. The community plugin provides libevent-1.4.14a while he linked to libevent-1.4.12. If that's the case, then the OP's link to libevent is NOT needed. Quote Link to comment
detz
Yeah, it complained that it couldn't find it so I just installed a different version. It shouldn't hurt anything as far as I can tell. Quote Link to comment
