bpage
I currently have the below config without a video card: Supermicro - X10SL7-F CPU: Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1246 v3 @ 3.50GHz Memory: 32 GB Do you think I could add a solid video card (willing to spend a good amount) and build a VR ready Windows VM? If so, can I have some suggestions in a card? $500-600 range. thanks! Quote Link to comment
Booshotti
I am running my GTX 970 on a VM so I can only assume VR would work just as well, Just get a powerful single card and you will be good to go. Quote Link to comment

Awesome. Thank you. I assume something like "EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5X, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Graphics Card 08G-P4-6183-KR" would be compatible? Quote Link to comment

Also, would I need a sound card as well? Sorry I am new the gaming situation. Quote Link to comment
Booshotti
You can pass your GPU through and use the sound from the HDMI cable or you can buy a USB sound card and pass the USB device through to your VM. The USB sound card method is the way I am doing it right now, If you have a dedicated PCI soundcard then you can pass that through instead Also... The GTX 1080 would work perfectly, Feel free to send me one too haha Quote Link to comment
