tuxbass
Shut the setup down, unplugged the usb, but neither linux nor windows (nor the server for that matter) refuse to mount the usb: dmesg on mount: [ 2650.677672] FAT-fs (sdd1): utf8 is not a recommended IO charset for FAT filesystems, filesystem will be case sensitive! trurl
1) Not very. Your data should be OK but you might have to format your flash and do a fresh install if you don't have a backup of it. 2) No. Quote Link to comment
tuxbass
Whoever finds themselves in the same problem - got it sorted out by rebuilding boot sector with utility called testdisk. (note the usb's filesystem was fat32 as per limetech's recommendation) Quote Link to comment
