Hello,

i want to setup (for testing) some McAfee products inside the unraid VM. This mlos linux should be based on CENTOS.

https://blog.fpmurphy.com/2015/06/mcafee-linux-operating-system.html

This TIE Server ist supported on so many platforms, but i get it not running on unraid.

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB86324

My problem is that i can configure a VM to install the "virtual appliance", but after the next reboot the system can not access the HDD.

I am not a expert at linux, but if i setup a centos direkt, it starts, and works fine.

But that doesnt help me in that case because i need to use the provided iso image.

I have try all Linux Templtes and tested virtiio and sata and scsi, and all does not work.

Inside the Documentation from McAfee is a notice, that they support VirtoIO and the appliace checks the virtualisation technology.

But at the point the system does not detect a virtualistaion technik in my unraid.

The have this drivers included in the image
VM VirtIO

  • drivers/net/virtio_net.ko
  • drivers/block/virtio_blk.ko
  • drivers/char/virtio_console.ko
  • drivers/char/hw_random/virtio-rng.ko
  • drivers/scsi/virtio_scsi.ko
  • drivers/virtio/virtio_ring.ko
  • drivers/virtio/virtio_mmio.ko
  • drivers/virtio/virtio_pci.ko
  • drivers/virtio/virtio.ko
  • drivers/virtio/virtio_balloon.ko
  • kernel/arch/x86/kvm/kvm-intel.ko
  • kernel/arch/x86/kvm/kvm.ko

Can someone help

Thanks
