  1. Security flaw discovered in Intel chips.

here is the latest from intel on what you should upgrade/when your upgrade is coming: https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2018/02/microcode-update-guidance.pdf
  2. I do not have that plugin. I've never had any problems with dockers before until this instance. The only plugins I have are the CA ( community.applications ), Dynamix Cache Directories, UnBalance, and Tips and Tweaks While I do have Cache Directories and UnBalance installed they are both not enabled.
  3. Stopped array, upgraded to 6.4.1 final. Rebooted and restarted array. no luck, had to re-add container via template.
  4. Went to update netdata docker had an update pending, Feb 15 10:20:54 husky nginx: 2018/02/15 10:20:54 [error] 2557#2557: *1131579 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading upstream, client:, server: , request: "GET /plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/CreateDocker.php?updateContainer=true&ct[]=Netdata HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "", referrer: "" It was taking forever to update so I left the browser open, came back 10 hours later.. it was still trying. Unraid/everything else was accessible and still is.. but I can see now that I refreshed the page the docker 'netdata' I tried to update is missing. docker log shows: time="2018-02-15T10:18:54.673415648-06:00" level=error msg="Not continuing with pull after error: context canceled" time="2018-02-15T10:21:21.883344943-06:00" level=info msg="Layer sha256:c08a798e4d739c28df3549bb415379412e6fbac6245947c902c8f65868a554e4 cleaned up"
  5. upgrade, everything appears fine. new log message I've not seen before: Feb 2 14:04:12 husky rsyslogd: warning: ~ action is deprecated, consider using the 'stop' statement instead [v8.29.0 try http://www.rsyslog.com/e/2307 ]
  6. updated, no issues.. first line of my logs is the microcode update.. but not sure why its so old. Jan 11 10:05:48 husky kernel: microcode: microcode updated early to revision 0x1c, date = 2015-02-26 cpu is Intel Core i3-3220 # dmesg | grep microcode [ 0.000000] microcode: microcode updated early to revision 0x1c, date = 2015-02-26 [ 7.231117] microcode: sig=0x306a9, pf=0x2, revision=0x1c [ 7.231280] microcode: Microcode Update Driver: v2.2. went looking, forgot how old this mobo is, its last bios update was 2013-09-29... so yeah cpu prob hasnt had any updates in awhile
  7. upgraded to latest, no problems so far. also I'll just leave this here: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/01/02/intel_cpu_design_flaw/ -- https://lkml.org/lkml/2017/12/27/2

  9. Tips and Tweaks page

I have saved the settings ages ago when I first installed the plugin to have it archive the syslog. Today I was loading the plugin page open to make sure the syslog option was still set and that's when I saw the verbiage up top and reported on it. So anyways, the settings on the right and the settings on the page are how they are when loading the page.
  10. Tips and Tweaks page

the nic flow control/offload verbiage is a bit confusing.. I load up this page and I see per the right side that flow control and nic offload are off.. but the options themselves do not match up because of "disable" being used.. which creates a double negative with 'no'. disable nic flow control = no. when I read it, means that nic flow control isnt disabled.. I think the confusion could be solved by changing 'Disable' to 'Use'.
  11. when going to the tools > hardware profile page and clicking on the 'show details' link.. it looks like nothing is going on. after several minutes it finally comes back with some data. perhaps some sort of processing/indicator to let the user know they just need to wait.. and not to just keep clicking on the link or navigating away. looks like the huge delay is just on the first run?
  12. thanks, never have had to use this method.. all the icons having the same 'script' icon makes it easy to miss things
  13. loaded up unraid (currently 6.4.0-rc13) and not seeing any method to have it check for an update/get the thing about rc14. would be nice if there was a little icon to force check by the version or could see the pre-release plugin on the plugins page..
  14. Tom, does unraid have drivers for the aquantia 5g/10g cards? https://www.anandtech.com/show/12067/aquantia-to-sell-its-5g-and-10g-network-cards-for-59-and-69-on-black-friday
  15. upgraded to 6.4.0-rc13. all is well. btw, lots of exciting things just landed in 4.15 -- https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Linux-4.15-Changes-Week-One
